41st Annual Lehigh Valley Railroad Memorial Night

The Lehigh Valley Railroad Historical Society will host the 41st annual Lehigh Valley Railroad Memorial Night at the station museum at 8 East High Street in Shortsville, New York, on Saturday, April 22, 2017, starting at 4:00 p.m. The free event is a celebration of the history of the Lehigh Valley Railroad with a program of slides, movies, photographs, discussions, and a model train display. Attendees are welcome to bring Lehigh Valley Railroad memorabilia to share. Coffee will be provided and attendees may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Lehigh Valley Railroad Memorial Night was hosted by Guil Mack of Phelps, New York, at his home from 1977 to 2016. The Lehigh Valley Railroad Historical Society is pleased to continue the tradition. Guil Mack will give tours of his HO scale model railroad layout at his home at 1070 County Road 23 in Phelps on Saturday, April 22, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

2017 LVRRHS Station Museum Open House Schedule

The Lehigh Valley Railroad Historical Society Station Museum at 8 East High Street in Shortsville, New York, will be open to the public one Sunday afternoon a month from May to October this year. Open house dates will be May 21, June 18, July 16, August 20, September 17, and October 15. Hours will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A large collection of historical artifacts from the Lehigh Valley Railroad is on display at the museum. The gift shop will be open. We will be inviting rail historians to give presentations at some of the open houses. Admission is free; donations are welcome. For more information, call 585-289-9149.
